Dien Bien Phu

Last June I visit Dien Bien Phu in Vietnam with my friend Yan Morvan who was doing a shoot there… I took the 3-day trip to shoot that little story on the well-known site of the last battle of the French army against the forces of Ho Chi Minh. This battle was the end of the French involvement in Indochina. It is today a major tourist destination for mostly the Vietnamese people. The site has been organized to polish the communist propaganda and the greatness of the Vietnamese fighters. It is very interesting and the place has the feel of uniqueness. Here a slideshow starting with several historic pictures from the museum.
